Dr Lydia Lamb is a specialist Endocrinologist with an interest in diabetes, pregnancy associated endocrine disorders, pituitary and thyroid disorders, as well as general endocrinology.
Dr Lamb completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia, Perth and worked as a junior medical officer at a number of hospitals across Western Australia. She commenced Endocrine Advanced Training in Perth before relocating to Sydney where she completed her specialist training at St Vincent’s Hospital and was awarded Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2019.
In addition to her extensive expertise in general endocrinology and diabetes, Dr Lamb has acquired specialised knowledge in endocrine disorders and diabetes during pregnancy. The culmination of her training occurred during her final year as the Pituitary Fellow at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, where she assumed a dual role encompassing clinical practice and research, with a particular emphasis on the nuanced management of pituitary disease.
Dr Lamb's dedication to academic excellence and the practical application in clinic is reflected by her ongoing PhD, conducted through a collaborative effort between the University of New South Wales and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Her research is concentrated in the specialised field of pituitary endocrinology.
Dr Lamb regularly attends diabetes and endocrinology conferences to remain up to date with the latest in evidence based clinical practice. Dr Lamb has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research and challenging clinical cases at the national diabetes and endocrine conferences.
