The aim of this course is to ease diabetes burnout by helping participants to step back from unhelpful (and often unnoticed) habits of thinking and behaviour.
It is based on the extensively researched and effective Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), with inclusions for people with diabetes. It involves active learning, and regular practice of mindfulness techniques between the scheduled sessions.
Participants with a Mental Health Treatment Plan can claim a Medicare Rebate for this course.
